I am the Bible, God's wonderful library.
I am always - and above all - the truth.
To the weary pilgrim, I am a strong staff.
To the one who sits in darkness, I am glorious light.
To those who stumble beneath heavy burdens, I am sweet rest.
To him who has lost his way, I am a safe guide.
To those who are sick in sin, I am healing strength and forgiveness.
To the discouraged, I am a glad message of hope.
To those who are distressed and tossed about by the storms of life,
I am an anchor, sure and steady.
To those who search for salvation,
I reveal the Savior of the World.
I am the Bible, God's Holy Word.
BIBLE READING CHALLENGE FOR 2007
This past year some of us have followed a Bible reading outline that has taken us through the entire Bible in 2006. Beginning on January 1, we’ll have a slightly different outline designed to do the same thing. Links to the schedule are found below. To enhance your reading, the Diaconate encourages you to keep a written journal by following the SOAP outline. It works like this:
Scripture – read the passages of scripture outlined for the day. Observations – write down any observations, thoughts or comments that come as you are reading. Application – write down how you will be different based on what you’ve read. Prayer – write out a brief prayer.
This is a resolution well worth making and keeping.
There is a Bible study on Sunday mornings from 9:45am - 10:30am in the Pastor's office in the education building. Readings from the Mini-Journal will be used to begin.
If you would like to participate, pick up a copy of the current Mini-Journal or go to Bethel's Journal online, follow the journal throughout the week and come ready to share what you've learned.
FYI - There are comments from Pastor Dahlen at Bethel's Journal online! & you can enter your own comments.
