"I pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag and to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands. One brotherhood, uniting all mankind, in service and love."
SOUP KITCHEN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We provide volunteers to help in the preparation and serving. We work in two shifts. The Preparation shift begins around 9:00am and works until noon preparing bag lunches, etc. The Serving shift starts about 11:30am and works until 2:30pm distributing bag lunches followed by light clean up. New developments within Trinity Soup Kitchen. There will not be cooking or serving hot lunches. The first shift will be preparing bag lunches and the serving shift will be handing out the bag lunches. There will be no hot food at this time. If you are willing to volunteer to help serve, please call the office. Also if you are interested in baking any cookies for the kitchen, let the office know. This is a small expression of God's Love. We are also collecting plastic grocery bags to take up to the soup kitchen.
SUNDAY EVENING BETHELMISSION STUDIES Pastor Dahlen will be leading a series of Bible studies geared toward opening ourselves to the mission God has for us in this community. Gatherings will be at 6:30pm upstairs in the EducationBuilding in room #8. This is for all ages. Let’s begin discovering together what God has in store for Bethel Baptist in 2007.
Emergency Food Pantry
Bethel's Emergency Food Pantry continues to grow as more and more people are in need. The Lord has led us into this ministry and He has provided what we need.
Thank you so much for your generous, on-going support of this ministry. At this time financial contributions continue to be a pressing need. There are also a few specific food items needed. They include:
canned meats and fruits
If you would like to volunteer to work at Bethel's food pantry call the office @ 734.284.6300. Help is needed on Wednesdays from noon till 3:00pm & Saturdays from 9:00am till noon to distribute food. Help is appreciated in loading boxes of food too.
If you have an abundance of plastic bags - the pantry could use them. Just drop them off outside the office door. Thank you.
100% of your donation to Bethel marked for the Food Pantry will purchase food for hungry families.
THANKS TO LOWE'S Our great thanks go to Lowe's Home Improvement Center here in Southgate for donating a new refrigerator for our Emergency Food Pantry. Located in the Education Building, it makes it much easier to serve people as they come by for help. The next time you're in Lowe's, thank an employee on behalf of the church.
