Several of our youth attended one of the Winter Weekends at Camp Lael. As part of the dedication service during the weekend, all campers and chaperones were invited to take a piece of broken pottery, write their name on one side and a sin they wanted forgiveness for on the other side. Then they glued them to the cross that's hanging in the front of our sanctuary. A drawing was held to see which church's Youth Group would take the cross home and be responsible for remembering the individuals in prayer. Bethel's name was drawn. And so the cross has been entrusted to us.
SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Once again, your Christian Education Committee has established a fund to help with the cost of summer camp. This year, a week at Lael will cost $265. You may contribute to this fund any time. Simply make checks out to the church and mark them for the Camper Fund. Whatever we collect by the middle of June will be divided evenly among all our Bethel campers.
