Friendship Class Mission Statement

We, the members of Bethel's Friendship Class, choose to be a thankful people, appreciation our Lord's love and grace.  By constantly renewing and deepening our relationship with Christ, we seek to open ourselves to Him, so He  can shine through us.

As we gather to study Scripture, we pray the Holy Spirit will teach us and make us more aware of our weaknesses, leading us to accept God's strengths.  We pledge to share and support each other in our Christian walk, and to reach out to others, sharing our faith with them.

Class Verse
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer
Psalm 19:14
FRIENDSHIP CLASS PSALM
composed March 26, 2006

Always, Lord will I praise You;
Blessings from You daily fall on my path;
Challenges are met successfully with Your help;
Dare I not speak to others of Your love?

Everyone whom God made are
Forgiven for their
Gigantic mistakes in this world for
His name cleanses the world.

I give my soul o you, O Lord;
Justice, You always bring;
Keeping me close;
Loving always in all ways.

May Your blessings ever flow;
No other will I lift above you;
Only Your love will suffice;
Peace will be mine if I follow only you.

Quiet meditations help me focus on Your greatness;
Rest and relaxation are Your gifts to me;
Safety and security are mine as I walk with You;
Trust in You ever grows stronger;
Understanding of Your love grows deeper each day.

Variety abounds in Your creation;
Water bountifully brings forth life from Your earth.

X-Ray my heart O Lord, bring healing to my soul.

Youth among us bring hope of future generations serving You;
Zany as we are at times, thank you for loving us as we are
     and helping us to become more like You.

ALWAYS, LORD, WE WILL PRAISE YOU!

FAITH
as defined by the
Friendship Class Members
March 15, 2007

Faith is something you believe will happen, something you know is going to happen - not being afraid.

To know something without seeing it.

Faith is believing with all your heart and soul and mind in Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Peace in all.

Just knowing the truth - knowing - believing something you can't see but just....................

Faith = your belief.

Faith is something you can feel:  something in your soul: something  -  like God's love  -  no one can take away.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things unseen (Hebrew 11:1) - Before anything you have to have faith.

Faith - all the trust and power you put into someone.

Faith is not being afraid because you know that your faith can get you through anything.

Believing something when they are talking g about the Lord.

Faith is belief that causes us to act differently - It is not only a noun.  It is an action verb.
